Aishwarya talks about hot scenes with Ranbir, says they are classy

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has opened up about her intimate scenes with Ranbir Kapoor in their upcoming film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

Aishwarya, whose sizzling on-screen chemistry with Ranbir became the talk of the town ever since the release of the film's trailer, said that it is not frivolous sensuality but portrayed in a classy manner.

The Jazbaa actor revealed that she was not worried about the sensuous scenes, "It is about comfort level with my director. We know how the journey of the film would be. It wasn't (worrying). I know my character well. It is about how you approach a character. It is done in a classy way. It is not frivolous sensuality on screen."

Director Karan Johar also spoke about her sensuous scenes, "I knew the dignity that Aishwarya brings to every character. So, you don't look at it and question about supposed lack of decency as it's always elegant. There is no kissing scene or skin show. It is about the attitude. There was a news piece that the Censor Board has given some cuts on the Aishwarya track. There is no lip lock. It's just in the eyes and attitude."

The Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna director was all praise for Aishwarya's character, which he said was the strongest in the film. "She is a poetess in the film. She is a woman of substance in every which way. She knows her mind and heart. We were honest to the film and the story. What you see on screen is glimpse of that character," he said.

Banks alert as passwords compromised in majority of debit card transactions

Amid reports of widespread debit card security breaches, a senior State Bank of India official on Saturday said the passwords were compromised in majority of cases.

"I strongly believe password is being compromised and most cases are of false transactions," Chief General Manager of State Bank of India, Bengal circle, Partha Pratim Sengupta told IANS.

SBI, the country's largest commercial lender, has advised its customers to use the bank's own Automated Teller Machine (ATM) network after the security breach of around six lakh debit cards issued by the bank.

"Prima facie information says a lot of password compromise is happening. But we are obviously looking into the audit trail and will check transaction history of all customers who have suffered to see if there is any kind of malware problem," he said.

The bank had blocked the debit cards whose security was reportedly breached due to the malware attack.

Some of the country's top private banks like HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and YES Bank among others too are facing similar issues and several of the customers' debit cards are reportedly being compromised.

SBI on Wednesday  blocked close to six lakh debit cards following a malware-related security breach in a non-SBI ATM network.

Several other banks such as Axis Bank, HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank too have admitted being hit by similar cyber attacks -- forcing Indian banks to either replace or request users to change the security codes of as many as 3.2 million debit cards over the last two months. READ MORE

PM Modi warns of 'surgical strikes' against black money keepers

Using the analogy of surgical strikes, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today wondered what would have happened if the government had adopted similar strategy in the recent campaign against black money, which unearthed Rs 65,000 crores.

"Over Rs 65,000 crore in unaccounted money was declared under the IDS, and that too without any surgical strike. Imagine what all will emerge if we initiate surgical strikes," Modi said at a public function in Vadodara, where he arrived for a day-long visit earlier in the day.

He said that other than the money collected under the IDS, his government saved Rs 36,000 crore more by eliminating middlemen and directly transferring funds to beneficiaries by linking their Aadhar cards to the Jan Dhan Yojana.

"So, we have been able to collect roughly Rs 1,00,000 crore," Modi added.

The Prime Minister was speaking at a function to distribute artificial limbs, tri-cycles and other assisting devices to over 10,000 'divyangs' or differently-abled persons.

He said that since May 2014, more than 4,500 such events have been held across the country, compared with just 56 between 1992 and 2014.

It is Modi's fourth visit to Gujarat in the last three months, but the first one to Vadodara since becoming Prime Minister. He won the Lok Sabha elections both from Vadodara and Varanasi seats but retained the latter. Gujarat goes to the assembly polls in December 2017.

During the daylong visit, Modi also inaugurated an integrated terminal building of Vadodara's Harni Airport built at a cost of Rs 160 crore.

How Does Gal Gadot Feel About Her Small Breasts?

As you may have heard, Gal Gadot has been cast to play Wonder Woman in Batman vs Superman or whatever they’re calling it now. The question that’s at least on one person’s mind is, what are we going to do about the fact that she has small breasts? Because big ‘ol titties are central to being Wonder Woman. BatmanNewsCom, asked Gadot, “It’s been said that you’re too skinny for the part. Wonder Woman is large-breasted, is that going to change?” That’s a very interesting yet strange question to ask someone.

Hmm. I represent the Wonder Women of the new world. Breasts… anyone can buy for 9,000 shekels and everything is fine. By the way, Wonder Woman is amazonian, and historically accurate amazonian women actually had only one breast. So, if I’d really go “by the book”…it’d be problematic.

So you’re not going to gain a little weight and start eating carbs before filming begins?

It’s the physical preparations that I’m starting now. A very serious training regime – Kung Fu, kickboxing, swords, jujutsu, Brazilian…1,000 and 1 things…I’ll gain body mass.

In the course of the interview, this guy implied Gal Gadot has small breasts and suggested she’s too frail to be an Amazonian ass kicker. I’m surprised they didn’t ask if she thought her manly hands would be too distracting and if she could do any of the stunts with those gigantic feet of hers.

Brooklyn Nets dancers to teach weekly fitness class at Fort Greene gym

Alexa Kobylarz and Amanda Robinson, both Brooklyn Nets dancers, will teach a fitness class at Crunch Gym in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, every Wednesday, starting Jan. 8.

Starting on Jan. 8, Crunch Gym in Fort Greene will offer a fitness class every Wednesday at 8 p.m. called Center Court Choreography with two Brooklyn Nets dancers — aka the Brooklynettes.

Gymgoers get instant access to the actual choreography used by the NBA pros, which always includes unique borough flavor.

New Brooklynette Alexa Kobylarz started taking the class last year and now, she’s not only on the dance team, but teaching the class alongside teammate Amanda Robinson.

Alexa Kobylarz and Amanda Robinson will offer a dance fitness class at Crunch Gym for 12 to 16 women taking them through squats, jumping jacks and crunches to get their heart rate pumping.

“We try to make the class so it transfers from the court to the general public,” says Robinson, who has been with the Nets for three years.

Adar Wellington is the Brooklynettes’ coach and choreographer, having spent 2005-2008 as a New Jersey Nets dancer. Wellington sits in on the class most weeks, and acts as the in-house DJ.

“A lot of dancers treat it like an audition,” says Wellington, who spotted Kobylarz in the class last year and wound up hiring her. “When you’re smiling and laughing and partying with the girls, and getting a good workout at the same time, you can’t beat it.”

The one-hour class starts with 10 minutes of high-intensity stretching and floor work. Robinson and Kobylarz lead the class of roughly 12 to 16 women through squats, jumping jacks and crunches to get their heart rate pumping.

Then the fun begins. The pros show the class a short segment from the routine they used at the Barclays Center that week. On a recent Thursday, it was set to Salt ‘n’ Pepa’s “Push It.”

“We’re throwing it back to the ’80s,” Robinson told The News before class. “You’ll see some old school moves like the Running Man. Hip hop originated here in New York, so that’s what we try to tie in. To claim the borough.”

After taking the class through the routine beat by beat, they all dance in sync to the music at full speed. Wellington wasn’t kidding about the upbeat atmosphere — instead of a group of exhausted gym rats struggling through a spin class, the students were exchanging high fives and putting their own spin on the moves.

Tony Scott, Director of 'Top Gun,' Dies in Apparent Suicide

Tony Scott, director of a string of high-octane blockbusters including "Top Gun," died Sunday by jumping from a suspension bridge into Los Angeles Harbor. He was 68.

Los Angeles County Coroner's Lt. Joe Bale told TheWrap that investigators had identified the deceased, Anthony David Scott of Beverly Hills, as the director and producer. His death was later confirmed by his publicist, who declined to provide further details. The death was being investigated as a suicide.

The British-born filmmaker, whose other hits included "Crimson Tide" and "Beverly Hills Cop II," was also the brother and producing partner of director Ridley Scott.

The U.S. Coast Guard told The Daily Breeze that a note was found inside Scott's black Toyota Prius, which he parked on one of the eastbound lanes of the Vincent Thomas Bridge near Long Beach. Officials said that Scott climbed a fence on the south side of the bridge's apex and leapt off "without hesitation" around 12:30 p.m., according to the Breeze. The bridge, which links San Pedro with Terminal Island, appears frequently in films and television.

Another media report said that a suicide note was later found in Scott's office.

Scott's body was recovered after the jump, Bale said. Authorities used sonar equipment to locate the body and Scott was recovered by a dive team around 4:30 p.m.

Hollywood reacted with shock at the news of the suicide. Director Ron Howard tweeted: "No more Tony Scott movies. Tragic day." And singer Marc Anthony asked what was on the minds of many, tweeting: "Rest in Peace brother. Tony Scott A Genius silenced. I am devastated!! Why?????"

The director's most recent movies were "Unstoppable" and "The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3," both of which starred Denzel Washington. He also was a producer of his brother's recent "Prometheus" and was exploring a possible sequel to "Top Gun."

The Scott brothers' company is Scott Free Productions, and Tony Scott had nearly 50 producing credits, including for the TV series "The Good Wife" and the Liam Neeson thriller "The Grey." The brothers also produced A&E's upcoming "Coma."

Born June 21, 1944, Tony followed in the footsteps of his older brother, the director of "Alien," "Blade Runner" and "Gladiator," among other films.

Tony Scott's first feature film was the 1983 vampire drama "The Hunger," which he shot after years as a commercial director. "Top Gun," released in 1986, was the first of many emotional, adrenaline-filled hits, including "Days of Thunder," "The Last Boy Scout" and "Crimson Tide."

Jenny McCarthy splits from NFL hubby Brian Urlacher

“Brian and I have decided to turn our romance into an amazing friendship,” the Windy City native said in a statement. “I will continue to be the biggest cheerleader for him. Go, Bears!” She tated.

The 39-year-old former model had tried to keep the lid on their romance a secret except to coyly admit in April of this year. “I’m giddy about someone.” Three months later, during an appearance on her pal Chelsea Handler’s E! show, McCarthy leaked a little more info about her 34-year-old boyfriend. “It’s going really good,” she gushed. “That’s very exciting. I’m happy for you,” Handler responded. “You were dating some real f–king losers.”

It’s true that McCarthy, who hosts NBC’s “Love in the Wild,” hasn’t had much luck in the romance department. Before Urlacher, she spent five years with Jim Carrey before she left him in 2010, reportedly because she couldn’t handle his wild mood swings. It was a heartbreaking decision for McCarthy since her son Evan, who has autism, was especially close with the comedian. Sadly, after the relationship between McCarthy and Carrey ended, so did the one he shared with Evan (whose father is McCathy’s ex-husband, director John Asher). During an interview with Howard Stern in June, she revealed that Carrey had cut off all contact with her 10-year-old son, which was so painful for the young boy, he had to go into therapy. “I’ve tried to ask [Carrey] numerous times [to see Evan], because my son still asks” about him on a “weekly” basis, said McCarthy. “As a mother, you just hope when you have a relationship with someone, it has nothing to do with the child when you break up.”

Missouri Republican: 'Legitimate rape' rarely causes pregnancy

A Republican Senate nominee found himself in hot water on Sunday for suggesting that instances of "legitimate rape" rarely results in pregnancy.

Rep. Todd Akin, a Republican who's locked in a hard-fought campaign in Missouri to unseat Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill, was answering a question regarding his position on abortion rights in instances when a woman is a victim of rape.

"People always want to make it into one of those things — well, how do you slice this particularly tough ethical question," Akin said in an interview on KTVI-TV, video of which was circulated by the Democratic super PAC American Bridge.

“First of all, from what I understand from doctors, [pregnancy from rape] is really rare. If it’s a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down," Akin said.

Regarding his opinion on whether to allow for an abortion in such instances, Akin added: “But let’s assume that maybe that didn’t work or something. I think there should be some punishment, but the punishment ought to be on the rapist and not attacking the child.”

Akin's comments had an almost immediate impact on Missouri's Senate race. McCaskill wrote on Twitter:

"In reviewing my off-the-cuff remarks, it's clear that I misspoke in this interview and it does not reflect the deep empathy I hold for the thousands of women who are raped and abused every year," he said.

Akin emerged earlier this month from a tough three-way primary in Missouri, where he rallied social conservatives behind his candidacy. Democrats actually spent during that primary to help Akin win, viewing the six-term congressman as a less formidable challenger in the general election.

McCaskill, who was first elected in 2006, has become a top target for Republicans this fall, given President Barack Obama's unpopularity in the state and successive statewide victories for the GOP.
